Welcome to contextual competence (how to understand and live in the modern world) from an Islamic perspective!

Welcome to MISK Women's series in contextual competence! We study the modern world, its dominant theories and ideologies and how to analyse and critique them from a traditional Islamic perspective that is grounded in the Qur'anic Straight Path metaphor.

Today we introduce the series, the main topics and concepts and discuss why this approach is important for Muslim women striving to understand the world and how to navigate through it without compromising their faith and practice.
